Banking license renewals are due soon

Need to renew your business license? These are the steps that your business must take to ensure proper license renewal.

You probably have already received an email notice from the NH Banking Department stating that your retail sellers license needs renewing by Dec. 1, 2020.

This is an annual license renewal and costs $50. License renewals are required by RSA 361-A:2. You don't want to miss this because there are consequences if your license expires:

Those retailers who let their licenses expire beyond Dec. 31, 2020 will be subject to fines and penalties for business conducted without the license.

Additionally, a business letting their license lag beyond the end of the year will have to reapply for a new license.

For assistance with the process, license holders may contact the banking department at: NH Banking Dept., Licensing, 53 Regional Drive, Suite 200, Concord NH 03301; 603-271-3561 or 800-437-5991. Please refer to the email from the State of New Hampshire Banking Department below for more information.

New Users

If this is the company’s first year for renewal (or your first log in as the company’s contact) you will need to create an account on behalf of the company. To begin, click here to get to the web page and then click on Register to create an account.

Should you have any problems with creating an account please send an email to:  BusinessOneStop@nh.gov

Non Renewals

For those of you not intending to renew your company license(s) for 2021: Please send an e-mail to nancy.d.burke@banking.nh.gov advising that you will not be renewing for 2021.

Once the account is created and you have signed in, you will need the company’s principal office license number to begin the process.

If the company holds two different licenses with the Department, you will need the principal office license for both.  Example: 12345-SF and 54321-SM and will need to complete the process twice. A separate account is not required.

Below is a sample of what the login screen will look like:
