Hearing Protection Policy

Hearing loss can have a range of consequences. The implications of hearing loss differ from person to person, but most people with hearing impairment suffer from social, psychological and physical problems such as depression, unsteadiness, headaches and stress.


The following policy outlines the mandatory use of hearing protection that service technicians must adhere to when working in the service department.


All employees must use hearing protection when performing the following tasks:

  • Grinding/cutting
  • Hammering
  • Using pneumatic tools (Air Gun, Air Impact wrenches, Etc.)
  • Drilling
  • Chiseling

Failure to comply with this policy may result in disciplinary action.
